Who needs a new pen??

It's confession time yet again around these parts. My name is Cass and I am an office supply junkie.
Do not let me loose in Staples/Office Max/etc. unless you are ready for me to pick up random pens, post-its and the like and exclaim "oooh, can I have it? Look! It's so cute and perfect!" every five seconds. I don't know what it is, but writing with that perfect pen (Pilot's G-2 in 07) or using a square hot pink post-it makes the work day that much more bearable. That can't be the only reason obviously because otherwise I would care less about the supplies I have in my home, so I don't know why it is.

So recently I've been linked all over the place to this wonderful place...Sorting With Style. I can tell you right now I've looked through the entire site and I want pretty much every single thing they sell. I dare you to NOT find something you can't live with out over there. No, I triple DOG dare you, that's how seriously I covet everything.
Here are some of my favorites so far:
  • a crocadile staple remover
  • a red pencil cup
  • pink Paris notebook
  • giraffe clips
  • flower file folders
None of these really have much to do with the other but are a great example of the awesomeness that is over at that site. Now obviously I haven't made a purchase, so the customer service could suck or it could take a month to get your product so I can't be extremely gung ho about everything yet...but a review could be forthcoming.

Best thing about my new job? Guess who orders all the office supplies? :-)

Good news!

In my last post I mentioned how I did something to my tailbone/had a cyst. Thankfully after taking enough antibiotics my butt has stopped hurting and it's ok to sit down. Yes, this means I no longer have to use the donut cushion. :-)

What's even better though??? I GOT A JOB!! In the same day I managed to score and interview with a company I sent an emailed app the previous week AND get a job through one of the staffing agencies I went through. I'll be making a little bit more than before and have all kinds of random duties, but I'm excited about the whole experience. I managed to get a job on Monday and start on Tuesday and the rest of this week has been me trying to get back into the swing of things.

Although I'd love to talk all about the job there's all kinds of confidentiality required in this company, I hope you understand. I will say that the people are pretty great, the woman training me as a lot of confidence in my abilities and the position is not too far away from home. Actually it's about a mile from my last job so I can still do lunch with some of my favorite people.

But here we are back in the working world. I can also say that this office job (complete with cubicles - but there's a window!!) has me walking around the office WAY more than the last one. I can't wear any of my cute heels without being in extreme pain so I need to find some adorable flats ASAP. If you have suggestions of cute shoes (that are halfway comfy) or a great website to recommend please do.

I may want them badly.

It's Not A Donut

This week has been very much of the suck. Add in April Fool's Day, which normally is kind of a fun day, I am not amused.

I've had this intense pain in my tailbone for about a week or so and thought that I could just wait it out. Back in Nov/Dec I fell HARD on the ice and bruised my tailbone and thought it had all worked itself out, but the pain came back ten fold this time around. That in itself would be cause for alarm but my brain insisted I was just fine and to wait it out.

Ok kids - that is NOT a good idea. Turns out I had a cyst that ruptured and I had to get my butt to the dr's office ASAP. I did all this and got antibiotics to treat the infection, and also had to pick up a cushion to sit on. Three different stores later and I finally have it and no, it's not a donut. Don't try to call it that or I will have to poke you hard. :-)

Because of all this time on the couch you'd think that I'd be blogging like crazy or something like that. But no, my Google Reader and myself have turned into life long friends and I'm reading all those blogs I follow like crazy and thinking "why can't I come up with something decent to say today??" Another day, maybe.

Instead I think about what to eat, how to actually get up to get said food and remind myself that yes, I should get back to the job search.
